Jasper le Rutte has a strong background in mathematics, data analytics, and artificial intelligence, with expertise in econometrics and machine learning. At Saga, he is completing his Master’s thesis, researching the performance of large language models (LLMs) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems in legal document analysis.

Jasper holds two degrees in Econometrics, where he specialized in statistical modeling, causal inference, and data analytics. His econometrics research focused on causal inference using machine learning, providing a foundation for his transition into artificial intelligence. Since 2023, he has been pursuing a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence, further refining his expertise in AI-driven solutions for structured and unstructured data.

His current research at Saga explores evaluation metrics for AI-generated text and assesses the performance of various AI models in extracting and generating legal information. His work contributes to optimizing AI-driven workflows for legal professionals, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in automated legal document processing.

Jasper holds a Bachelor’s degree in Econometrics and Operations Research and a Master’s degree in Econometrics and Management Science from Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is currently completing a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
